Welcome to the new COG, the center of community interraction for Gonzaga University. Gonzaga residents, faculty, staff and guests are all welcome to dine, socialize and explore our expanded dining options. Named after the original COG, the new COG is carrying on the best traditions into the John J. Hemmingson Center.
Today's COG is a two level facility designed to provide a fresh and exciting dining environment with plenty of natural lighting, soaring ceilings, and beautiful architectural finishes. The kitchen facilities have been custom designed and equipped to meet the needs of today's student palates and the highest levels of food handling safety. Led by Campus Executive Chef Thomas Morisette, CEC, and Resident Dining Chef Tompall Nichols, our culinary staff will prepare meals fresh before your eyes at six uniquely themed platforms.
Each restaurant-style station within the COG is designed to provide a complete meal, or you can mix and match items from each station. Menus at each station change for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as on a daily basis throughout the semester.
Classic American comfort food like chicken pot pie, meatloaf, burgers and fries, plus our famous made to order omelets.
Mongolian-style grill stationed at the center of the COG serving fresh stir fry custom made for each guest.
Vegetarian central, featuring sustainable, seasonal foods as well as produce from the greenhouse.
Located on the 2nd level, serving dishes inspired by the cultures surrounding the Mediterranean Sea, including pizzas and flatbreads from the wood fired oven.
Located on the 2nd level, serving cuisine from around the globe. This station also features our Simple Servings platform – menus designed free of the 8 most common food allergens – allowing students with food allergies to dine with confidence and convenience.
Faculty or Staff? Live off campus? Even if you're not a resident boarder, the best way to take advantage of all dining available on campus is with a meal plan. Community Meal Plans are now available for faculty, staff, and any student not required to have a meal plan.
